I am originally from small-town Iowa, and currently studying music at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. Being the eldest grandchild and cousin, it often fell to me to "watch over" my younger relatives. That extended into when I was old enough to become a summer camp counselor at my local school, and helping with occasional activities and the local day care center.
