I'm a 31 yr old mother of one boy. I have extensive child care experience, including experience with children with special needs. I am CPR/First Aid certified, and renew my certification yearly. I know the importance of a schedule for children, but I am flexible to your own needs for your own children. No two are the same so I've never had one set way of doing things. I believe reading to a child is important, and I love spending time with kiddos reading a good book. (I even read to infants. It's never too early!) I'm not one to rely on electronic "baby sitters" such as TV or phone apps. I do believe those things are fine in moderation but I also believe children thrive when getting attention from their caregivers on a consistent basis. I have experience with most age groups, from infants to about 13 years of Read more age. I do not have much experience with older teenagers, because by that time most do not need a nanny. My experiences with special needs children revolve mainly around children with autism but I have also worked with children in wheelchairs for various reasons. Children are my passion. I love nurturing and caring for them. I enjoy doing everything from homework help to craft time.
