My mom stayed at home with us and gave us the opportunity to soak up the joy of living life to the fullest... reading new books and visiting the "book-mobile"... learning how to cook ... building a teepee in the backyard... running a pretend "grocery store" out of the pantry and learning how to make change and tally up a bill... From these experiences, I have come to believe that growing up and time at home should be about having fun while learning at the same time... A little background... I graduated from university with a BA in English and Journalism, double major. I am a writer, editor, and photographer who is looking for a part-time position as a nanny so I can get out away from the computer and interact with kids on a regular basis and help them along their learning and life journey. I helped keep my niece several days a week from the time she was born until she started kindergarten, so my sister could continue working. I have taken the YMCA babysitting course and received my certificate. And I have nearly a minor's worth of Education classes as well.
