I have alway work with the public after high school. I did hair for many years before I went back to college to get my degree in child development and family studies. I have worked as a substitute teacher while attending college. After college I work as a caseworker doing home visits for Cumberland Mental Health Services for two years. I worked with local teens along with city & county officials for the Smith County Drug Coalition. The past year an half I work as a personal caregiver for an elderly stroke patient handling his daily activities. I have two children of my own that I have raised by myself as a single mother so I know the importantance of having a good support system to help take care of things when your not able to do them yourself.
