Hello, My name is Jill, I'm 35 years old and my husband and I have been married for 7 years now. We are foster parents and have 2 adopted children of our on as well as 3 fur babies of our own (2 labs~Bear and Gus and 1 German Shepard~Harley). I also have 2 younger siblings (one 16 and one 19), both of which I have helped my dad raise since they where 4 and 7. I have several years experience in teaching classes at church (ages 1-K), as well as several years of babysitting for multiple children at one time.The longest period of time I kept one child was for 5 years (2-K). I have also been a nanny where I was responsible for a 16 yr. old, 11 yr. old, 10 yr. old, 8 yr. old and 7 yr. old. I would pick the younger 4 kids up Read more from school, did homework, snacks, activities, made dinner, did laundry and went to the store as needed. There were also a few evenings that I was required to stay overnight and would be responsible for getting the kids up and at school.  I love to do arts and crafts with kids of all ages, I think it's a wonderful way to help kids learn various things and making it fun as well as creative all at the same time. As far as rules/guidelines that I like to adhere to...when it comes to school age children, homework is done when they get home along with a healthy after school snack. I am very big on structure no matter the age of the child...meals, snacks, naps should all be around the same time every day so that the child gets into a routine.I also love to have fun though, whether it's blowing bubbles outside or just having a movie and popcorn treat.
