Hi! My name is Rolanda Mack. I’ve been nannying/babysitting for almost 10 years and have had the amazing privilege of providing care to several families who are now more like family to me and I to them. I am currently a full time day nanny of 4 children. I have been with them for over a year now. I also worked overnight as a Direct Support Professional for over a year as well, but decided my efforts would be better spent providing care for a family seeking overnight assistance which is the position I am seeking currently. I absolutely love children and believe it takes a certain level of understanding and patience to perform the job of caring for children. Also with this, I am very education oriented and love to incorporate learning excerises into everyday activities. I love games and outdoors as well. My experience ranges from newborn- pre teens. I also have experience with developmentally delayed children and multiple children as well. I have performed several tasks including but not limited to: light-heavy household chores, meal/bottle prep, play time, laundry, pickup/drop off, and so forth. I believe all of these things puts me in the perfect position for this job. It takes connecting with a child in order to grow with them, and my life experience as well as my experience with other children have placed me in a unique position to be able to care for children in a way that allows me to reach them. This is important for both the child and parents. Throughout my time as a nanny/ babysitter, I have learned how important it is not only to have a trustworthy relationship with the child, but also the parents. Nannying is not simply a job for me.
