I am a retired RN with professional clinical experience in neonatal intensive care ( NICU), pediatrics, mother/baby,, newborn nursery, and the special care nursery. I have worked in these various specialties throughout my professional career. After retiring I worked in a daycare setting caring for infants, and, as a teacher for children ranging in age from 12 months to four years. I have raised three college-educated, successful, wonderful, children of my own; one of whom was a special needs child. I love children and enjoy helping them grow and develop intellectually, physically and emotionally. I helped care for my own precious grandchildren from birth, who now range in age from three months to 15 years. I spent part of this last summer taking care of a newborn with Downs Syndrome while his mom and dad were working. He is now in an early intervention program for special needs infants; and, Read more he is as cute and lovable as he can be....and a very sociable little guy.
