My love for kids started when I was just a kid myself. I started babysitting at the age of twelve. By the time I went to college, at Freed Hardeman University, there was not any question in my mind that I wanted a job working with kids. However, there were so many different professions involving children, and I didn't want to be limited to just one. Therefore, I decided to double major in Early Childhood education and Child and Family Studies. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in each of these areas in May of 2016. My final GPA rested at 3.82. After graduating, I took a job at Jackson Christian School's Early Learning Village as the lead teacher for the one-year-old class. This was a brand new program, so I had the opportunity to help the administration build it from the ground-up. I am currently still employed Read more here. My duties involve the nurturing care and keeping of nine one- year-olds, the organization and management of a successful classroom, as well as the development of age appropriate curriculum and activities. In addition to my current job, I have 3 years of experience as a secretary, 2 months of experience student teaching in third grade, 2 months of experience student teaching in PreKindergarten, and countless hours tutoring children of different ages. My certifications include an Early Childhood Education Teaching License in the state of Tennessee (PreK-3rd grade), and a certification in CPR and first aid. I am currently looking to relocate and would love to explore the world of nannying. I have several qualities that make me perfect for this job. I am organized, creative, trustworthy, reliable, smart, fun, outgoing, hardworking, honest, and loyal. I believe that children are a gift, and I want to dedicate my career to teaching, mentoring, and caring for as many kids that I have the opportunity to cross paths with.
