I'm currently a grad student at East Tennessee State University and work part-time as a graduate assistant for the Department of Social Work. I have a younger sister, experience working with children's Bible school programs, and one-on-one babysitting with toddlers. I have helped care for several of my younger cousins during the summer months and loved every second of it! In undergrad, I was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, so I volunteered regularly for the Children's Advocacy and Protection Center in Hickory, North Carolina. Working in the agency made me realize the passion I have for children, their happiness and wellbeing, and their ultimate success. As a future LMSW, I can only hope to make as much of an impact on children and parents as the staff at CAPC did. I consider babysitting/nannying great experience for my future career!
