Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile! I have been fortunate to find incredible families through this site and am very thankful for the connection the Sittercity has provided! To tell you a little bit about myself and what makes me stand out as a child care provider, I am dependable and reliable. I think communication with the parents is vital to a healthy, happy, family-like relationship between myself and the family. I take notes throughout a typical day on infants and toddlers, for the parents' reference, keeping record of feeds, naps and everything in between. I am also flexible to the families needs when it comes to hours and preferences. As for my experience, I have been a nanny/Au Pair for 5 years and I have excellent references to speak for my qualifications. I have worked for a few different families and have abundant experience with infants, as I Read more recently cared solely for two 4-7 month old babies during the week and was with a baby boy from the time he was 4 mos-16 mos. My time as a nanny is highlighted by my stint as an Au Pair in Australia for a family of 4 boys (newborn-6 years old). I'm a firm believer in extremely limited TV time. I don't own a TV myself and have made a vow not to have one in my bedroom, ever! I think exposure is the best learning tool for growing minds, and I am excited to play an integral role in introducing new things to a child! I think letting a child touch things, smell things, hear things has proven the best way to teach them about a leaf, or a puzzle, or a baked good. I am CPR and First Aid Certified and I hope to find a great job with a great family. I would be happy to pass along references and answer any questions you might have for me. Alexa was interactive with my 2 yr old, by the time I returned home he had learned new words. She is reliable, punctual, and mature. I did not know Alexa personally, we connected through sittercity, which was a first for me. Amazingly, after we met in person and my son was around her, excited and comfortable, I was completely at peace leaving for an outing. We miss you Alexa Adam Liz Ian
