I recently moved to the Nashville area with my husband. Before our move, I was a nanny for a family with 1-year-old twins who were premature. I began working with them when the babies where 2 months old. The little girl was on an apnea monitor for 6 months and I had to administer special breathing treatments several times a day. I worked many nights and worked on sleep training them once they were old enough. Before caring for the twins, I lived at a mission in Haiti and cared for a 2-year-old orphan. I acted as his mother for the year, potty training him and meeting all his needs. Also, there were constantly children of all ages around and I would take in orphans with special needs to stay with us, such as a 7-year-old malnourished boy for a month and 3 pound baby until he could be transferred Read more to a hospital. I have babysat for multiple families with children aging between newborn and 13 years old in the US. This involved me cooking for the children, doing dishes, playing with them, helping with bath time, assisting with their homework, putting them down to bed, taking them to the park, etc. Also, I volunteered in NICU at a hospital where I spent my time holding and feeding babies. When I was in high school, I was an after school tutor for elementary aged children.
