For 2 years I was a nanny to my neighbors 3 and 4 year old son and daughter. Not only was I there to just watch after them but we did coloring pages that helped them learn as well as have fun. We also did fum activities on holidays. I cooked for them but had them well mannered and they always helped me clean up afterwards. I also gave softball lessons to girls ages 5 to 10 for about 6 months. I loved being able to help the girls grow better as players. I also helped coach 3 of my little brothers baseball teams with my dad. I also worked at a daycare called A Place To Grow in Pearland, TX for roughly a year and a half as a after school teacher. I drove a van to pick up some.of the kids from school, prepared snack and watched over Read more the children til their parents picked them up. I had a class of 23 1st graders. Wow was is it crazy but I loved every minute of them. Those kids loved me as well, I was the only teacher who would actually participate in activities they did while we would be outside with the other school agers. Altogether there were over 130 school age kids there. I miss being able to be a part of those kids lives everyday. It was extremely rewarding to see how the children grew and actually took my advice about things. Not to sound big headed or anything but the children respected me because I respected them. And to be able to work with children again would be a dream come true. I was CPR certified then but I am not now. But can be as soon as needed.
