Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Education. I would like to start off by introducing myself to you as Miss Lexie. This is the title I have lovingly held during my journey as a private nanny for the past six years. I have been blessed to acquire a total of 4 families in this time frame with children ranging from the ages of newborn to 13 years old. In this select age group I have had the privilege to work with 4 children with special needs. My duties ranged from waking the children up for school, everything in between ,to tucking them in bed for the night. Though most nannies are capable of such basic duties. I provided the most important duty of all, tutoring these children. I’m knowledgeable in most areas of basic study. Though I would love to say that I know everything I certainly do not. Therefore if I don't know the answer to something I’m very quick to research and learn it, so that I can apply to teach it in better terms for the child to understand. I believe that for a child to be successful in anything they do you must not only provide them with the knowledge but also praise them. Praising is a value I hold very dear to my heart. Children like to feel worthy and good about themselves once they have accomplished a particular task. I believe it is a key essential to a child’s education because it motivates them to continue learning. Education is extremely important to me and so I strive to make sure my children excelled in their studies. Presently I am attending Graduate school at UTA in Arlington to attain my Masters in Developmental Psychology. I hope to become a Pediatric Psychologist one day so that I may diagnose children with special needs. I’m very passionate about children and hope to make a difference one day, in providing special needs children with a fair chance of learning like any other child. Now that you know a little about me I warn you that with time I will grow with your children. I will teach them and they will teach me along this incredible journey.
