A former certified teacher, I currently stay home with my 3-year-old boy. I'm looking to care for a newborn or another child close in age to my son (preferably) in my home. My kindergartener will be joining us after school. We lead very active lives with play dates, hikes, parks, story time, etc. Most days your child will be going out into the world interacting with other kids as well as doing daily educational activities in the home. My home, near 183 and Spicewood Springs Road, has a large lush backyard equipped with a playscape and trampoline as well as a large grassy area to kick the ball around. There is also a fenced in pool. Everyday is a little different, but our routine revolves around dropping big brother off at school at 7:30, usually an outing around 9 or 10 until until nap which begins between 12:30 and 1:30 Read more followed by pick up of the kindergartener at 2:40. My work with children started in the public school system in 1991 as a mentor and from 1999 - 2009, I was a classroom teacher. My professional experience ranges from Kindergarten to 8th grade, but moving forward I plan on serving the under 5 crowd. Ideally, I'm looking for a steady client Monday, Wednesday and Fridays business hours.
