Growing up, I always picked up side jobs babysitting and caring for small children. I would feed, bathe, clothe, and put them to bed when necessary. Additionally, I would take them places, such as the park or library, to do recreational activities or learning activities. In addition to being a nanny growing up, I also was a teacher for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities while at UT. I spent 2 years working one on one with these students teaching them various subjects, such as math, reading, and writing. Additionally, we taught them skills that were necessary to being a functional adult, such as how to count money. I have always had a huge heart for others and it is the exact reason why I am going to school to become a medical professional. I knew my entire life I wanted to help people out.
