Hello, I am a teacher by trade with many years experience with children. However, my first nanny experience was for a South African family here in Dallas in 1997. My responsibilities were picking the girls up from their schools, meal prep, play, homework, bathtime for the youngest. I was a live-in helper and also a nanny for two families in Maryland between 1999 and 2000, where I dropped off and picked up from school, prepared meals, got the kids ready for school, homework, play time. I graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute in '98, and then went to serve with Camp Sonshine in Silver Spring, MD for a few years. In 2001, moved back to TX to study at Dallas Baptist University and graduated in 2004. I spent some time in S. Africa working with kids and teens in schools and camps right after graduating. Upon returning to TX, Read more I got my Elem. Teacher Cert. still current through 2018. I've taught 3-5 year olds for about 4 years at different Preschools, then Kinder and First Grade at Life School Oak Cliff. In 2008, I started a new journey which was teaching and tutoring truant teenagers, as well as teaching adults ESL, GED and Adult Basic Education courses in the Dallas area. After 2-1/2 years of living in the northeast (PA and VA), and having a little girl - Sophia is 2-1/2- we have relocated to Dallas for my part time job as an Adjunct ESOL teacher at El Centro College, where I teach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30pm.
