Although I am currently earning my PhD in English at Texas Christian University (I live in downtown Dallas), I would love to find a summer position nannying for a family in the area. I have nannied for two families previously (children's ages ranged from 6 months to 12 years, both genders, and one little boy had severe special needs), and I very much enjoyed spending time with the kids. I have also tutored students (in language arts and English) ranging in age from 3rd to 10th grade. Most of these families lived in the Southlake area. Like Mary Poppins, I believe in FUN! Whether the goal is learning, getting chores done, or using imagination, I believe the key is having fun. Although I can be serious, I prefer a good dose of silliness when interacting with younger people.
