I recently moved to California from Dallas, Texas where I taught art (and some drama) to kids for over 25 years. I started teaching when I was 17 in an after school program for a local elementary school. It was a wonderful experience! I went to the University of Texas at Austin, got a degree in Studio Art and started teaching for a drama and art school. That school had an outreach program and teachers were sent to private schools to supplement their curriculum. I taught children from the ages of 3-21 for several schools specializing in learning differences. I also taught for art schools, had art clubs, threw art parties, and tutored. My childcare experience and knowledge of child development is extensive. As well as teaching all different types of children, I raised my own child to adulthood. I helped elementary school students with their homework after school. I Read more love kids ( and pets) and am very responsible, caring, empathetic, and consistent. I am kind, patient, loving, energetic, and FUN. I am also punctual, honest, and hardworking. I have a clean driving record (not even a speeding ticket!)
