I have both personal and professional experience working with children and the elderly spanning over ten years. I have 4 younger siblings (9+ years younger) and I have spent countless hours nannying for all of them. It has been such a treat seeing them grow into truly amazing adults. Since the age of 15 I have worked as a babysitter, home sitter and pet sitter for several local Dallas. Three years ago I was given the most amazing opportunity to work as a personal assistant for an elderly couple in Houston. My duties included (but were not limited to) cooking, cleaning, shopping, bill pay, scheduling, scribing, med reminders, transportation, home maintenance, technology training, as well as, physical, mental and social engagement. Although we had to part ways, they are still very near and dear to me. We still talk and visit often. In addition to my 'relevant' work history, I Read more have also held several jobs working as an executive assistant in an office setting. While these positions were stable and lucrative and something in which I excelled, I missed the human connection that comes with working outside of a corporate setting.
