Hello! My name is Rey. I have worked in childcare for 13 years now. I began in 2005 as a full-time lead infant teacher for 11 infants, in which I was the only caregiver. I worked in that role for 2 summers and then was promoted to part time/seasonal Assistant Director when I went off to college. In college I was a long-term nanny for 4 families (ages 6 weeks - 3 years old). I also worked as a Child Watch teacher at the YMCA for 1 year before being promoted to Front Desk Associate. From Fall 2010- Spring 2017 I have worked as a state certified Kindergarten teacher both in Austin and in Dallas. I am a Teach for America Corps Member and believe childcare is more than just babysitting but rather an opportunity to teach. Looking forward to connecting! :)
