I have earned a degree in elementary education in May of 2012. I babysat often for 2 families (ages 1-10) while in high school. After college, I served as a nanny for an one year old little girl. In addition, I tutored and supervised children at the Boys and Girls Club in Joliet while in college. Through the Boys and Girls Club, I participated in an after school program assisting grades k, 3, and 4 with homework and any school related needs at an elementary school in Joliet. I also have experience in k-6 classrooms. In the past, I have volunteered in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. This past summer I served as a day camp counselor for campers varying in age from 5 to 14 and I currently teach sixth grade math in DISD. Throughout my experience, I have found that I love working with every age for unique reasons. I can Read more relate to children easily and I am a kid at heart. I find being active and having fun very important! I love to do arts and crafts with children as well as any outdoor activities.
