I'm graduating with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling next month and am seeking a part time summer position beginning early July. I have a counseling job lined up that I will begin in early October so the nanny position would need to be short term. The most important thing to me is a good fit and working with a family whose values align with mine. I believe in intersectionality, actively practicing anti racism, disability justice, and liberation for all marginalized groups. I’m fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid and ask that you are too. I previously volunteered at the Dougy Center, helping with group facilitation for children experiencing grief after the death of a parent or sibling. Because of this and a large amount of research, I have extensive knowledge of trauma-informed care which I bring into my work whether the child has experienced a traumatic event or not. Social-emotional learning is something I try to weave into daily interactions with the children I work with, fostering a healthy relationship with feelings and learning what to do with the big emotions.
