Hello, My name is Alexandra, but you can call me Alex. I am the oldest of five (5) children, and I have grown up helping my parents take care of my siblings. As I got older I gained my own babysitting jobs with families within my church. I have worked in children's ministry for about six (6) years now, and I continue that to this day. I have also been a Nanny for a family with three (3) children (a boy and 2 girls between the ages of 2-7)). After being their Nanny for about two (2) years, the mother became a stay at home mom. After being a Nanny, I decided to get into the workforce, but I have always continued pursuing my love for children by taking babysitting gigs here and there. My family has also been a Foster Family for about four (4) years now, and we Read more have had a total of twelve (12) children come in and out of our home between the ages of 0-5. I helped assist my mother with every child that we had the privilege of being with. As we approached our twelfth kiddo, we were able to adopt a five (5) year old boy who is now my little brother. I currently live with an older couple from my church that just recently adopted their son, and I also assist them with taking care of him. His mother is a Hospice Nurse and his father travels during the week for his job, and when his mother has to leave to take care of a patient, I stay with him. I pick him up from school occasionally, and if they ever have to go out of town, I stay with him also. I have lived with them for the past four (4) years and all has been great! I am also a very organized person and when I am given a schedule I stick to the schedule. Even though I can be very serious, I also love to have fun! I love going out to the park, swimming, coloring and watching movies. I am the type of person that wants kids to get out and do things rather than stay home and watch tv, play video games, and play on devices. If it's sunny and beautiful outside, that is where we will be! I also am very specific about making sure that homework gets done and we take that time to do what is important before having fun. I can also cook meals and take children to their extracurricular activities. I enjoy being a part of the growth and development of children, and I hope that I can be apart of your kiddos lives!
