After attending college at the University of Richmond, where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Economics, I worked with children in a wilderness setting in Virginia and then taught elementary school Math in New York City. I have also tutored and mentored middle and high school students along the way. After these experiences in education, I transitioned to a career in construction and design, working for a residential architect and builder in Atlanta and taking design and drafting courses at Harvard and local community colleges. I've put classes on hold right now to return to work, and I think Mannying will be a great fit for me as I enjoy and have experience in education and tutoring. I also hope for some flexibility to continue pursuing my creative interests. Some about my personality and hobbies: I am a calm, relaxed and fun guy who has a positive outlook on Read more life. I enjoy the outdoors (mountain biking, hiking, surfing, golf), a good novel (I’m reading 'The Goldfinch' right now and really enjoying it), the movies, and art and architecture. If you know Meyers Briggs, I test and identify mostly with INFP. I’m more introverted than extroverted but still enjoy being around people and socializing. I’m calm, easy going, and caring: soft around the edges. But when something is important to me, I’m passionate about it and get excited about the things I love. I like to have a good time and laugh but know when to be serious too.
