My experience comes from raising two boys and being the mom that everyone else's kids flocked to as well. I'm always the one that gravitates to the babies. When my children were young, I kept two or three extras a few days a week, and I volunteered at church in the nursery and at "Mom's Day Out." When they got to be school age, I volunteered at school, and was very active in all school activities such as planning parties, chaperoning on field trips, reading to the class, playground duty, cafeteria monitor, etc. Those days are over...my boys have grown and I miss those sweet days. I am now 51 years old and I am looking for something that makes a difference to fill my days. My husband works during the day and does some travel. I miss having someone to take care of. I would love to have the Read more honor of caring for your child when you have to be away. I am a fun, upbeat, caring, nurturing, and loving person. While I have talents in decorating, and am often encouraged to pursue interior design, I truly get more happiness when I am taking care of children. I'm very domesticated...I enjoy doing the laundry, cooking, & cleaning as well. I can assure you, that you could rest knowing that your child was being loved, and nurtured in my care. I am very comfortable in all areas of child care...I know along with the precious moments of rocking them to sleep, and playing with them that there are many trying times as well. I feel very comfortable in those situations. Babies cry, teethe, spit up, and get sick. Toddlers will try you, but I believe that consistency, is key. My biggest hero is James Dobson. He teaches Godly, biblical principles. When children know they have set boundaries that are enforced with patience and a lot of love, I find that they tend to be motivated to please and be obedient.
