My name is Ashley Boston; I am a college graduate with my Bachelors in Speech & Dramatic Arts currently in grad school pursuing my Masters in Strategic Communications. I moved to Douglasville, GA in January of this year to serve an AmeriCorps term with Youth Villages of Douglasville. I finished that term August 1, 2014 and decided that I wanted to make my move to Georgia permanent. I found a part-time job as a Reading Coach/Drama Teacher in July that does not start until September 1, 2014 from 3PM - 5:30PM M-F. With moving and finding housing after my AmeriCorps term ended, my finances have been strained. Although I haven't been a full-time babysitter/nanny since I was 19, I have continued to work with children in some capacity. I am seeking additional income to supplement the part-time or something that will remove the need for it all together. It is Read more my dream position focusing on Reading Comprehension, Reading Fundamentals, Writing & Speaking Skills, and Dramatic Instruction; I just wish that it could be full-time. I have been caring for children since I was 12 through babysitting, teaching, mentoring, after-school programs, and volunteer work. I have reliable transportation, a driver's license, clean record; I am creative, punctual, trustworthy, and dependable. I love cooking and am great at organizing and running a tight ship. I love art and expression and find that you are never too old to develop hidden talents in the arts. I love the outdoors and gardening, going to the park, or library for reading time. The two children in my profile picture are my niece who's 6 years old and my nephew who's almost 2 years old. I have been their babysitter/nanny since birth upon relocating to Georgia.
