Hi! My name is Christa. I am experienced, reliable, educated in child development and I LOVE working with kids! I am 27 yrs old and I have 12 yrs experience working with children. I have worked with children from the ages of 6 wks up to 12 yrs. Most of my experience lies with children from 1-3 yrs and elementary-aged kiddos, however I feel comfortable caring for children of any age. I am active and I like to bring that into my time with children. I am not a fan of a lot of (or any at all) "screen" time. When caring for children, I don't turn on TVs/electronic devices at all unless parents specifically instruct me to do so. I like to play outside whenever possible, use imagination and really get creative with children's activities! My #1 priority when caring for your child is SAFETY. I am CPR/First Aide Read more certified and have been through many hours of various safety trainings. I have a reliable car that seats up to 6 passengers if your needs involve transportation. I bought it specifically because it has been the top safety pick the past four years! My personality is outgoing and silly, which is why I get along with children so well :) However, my experience has allowed me the skills to find a healthy balance between having fun with kids while still gaining and maintaining their respect. While each child requires a unique approach, I find positive reinforcement and redirection to be the most effective methods of behavior management. I have class all day Monday and on Wednesday mornings, so as of now I am available at anytime outside of those times. At the end of the semester in May, my school schedule can be easily manipulated to fit your family's needs. I am excited to do what I love doing- providing a safe, fun, loving environment for children to grow! Thank you taking the time to read.
