I initially discovered my passion for working with kids during my time as a swim instructor when I was a teenager, which I carried with me into my some of my studies with early childhood education at the University of North Texas. I ultimately graduated with a degree in English Literature but continued working with children as a tutor and academic coach. My career has primarily been in the field of mental health, working with struggling adolescents, and, while that is not exactly a "nanny" position, it allowed me to be of service in many of the same ways. I left my work in mental health to return to teaching, taking a substitute teaching position at Episcopal School of Dallas, where I am currently employed. I am also current in my CPR certification.
