I have always loved caring for children. I was home schooled through junior high and high school. My mother worked as a childcare provider and nanny most of that time, and I went to work with her. The past four years, my family has lived and worked in a residential children's home where my parents raised eight children in addition to my siblings. Many of these children have special needs. I learned how to care for many ages and children at a time. I love being a part of a large family. One thing I love about childcare is developing relationships with the families I work with. I still see most of the children I have cared for occasionally because of those relationships. I also have over a years experience as a full time Nanny with two different families. In the first family, the mother decided to stay home with Read more the kids after her third child was born. I maintain a good relationship with them and still do occasional babysitting for the family. A child's creativity and use of imagination enriches my life and my work. Children really are our future, and I plan to dedicate my life to working with them.
