I have worked as a nanny in various capacities for the past 11 years, both live in and live out. I have nannied children newborn to 12 years, and have experience teaching children ages 10 to 18 both music and acting. In the past I have been expected to cook meals, sleep overnight, prepare children for school in the morning, pick children up from school, supervise chores, change diapers, shop for food, accompany them to lessons, help them through homework, lesson plan for summer activities, accompany them on outings, and create games to play. I am experienced in infant care, as well as teaching and mentoring high schoolers. Additionally, because I am an artist, I love to cultivate creativity and an appreciation for beauty through the relationships I form with the kids. I am moving to Houston late August/early September, and I am looking to continue working as a nanny. Read more I recently finished working as an Au Pair in London in July, and I am spending this month (August) visiting my family in Virginia and nannying for several families in the area in need of part time summer help until I move. I always want to work with children in some capacity of my life, and hope to continue doing so in Houston. A little bit about me: I am a recent graduate from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. I am artistic and impassioned, and my goals are to be involved in the arts - vocal performance, piano, acting, directing, and teaching - wherever I am. I have bachelors degrees in both Vocal Performance and Acting, and have enjoyed both teaching, acting, and singing professionally the past three years. Besides acting and singing, my other passions include reading, philosophy, literature, gardening, hiking, and writing. I love the outdoors, and spend as much time as possible outside. I love learning, and try to make educating myself a constant in my life. Whether reading, learning in a classroom, or gaining experience through working with others and knowing new people, I hope to always be bettering myself through exposing myself to new ideas, people, and experiences. I have grown up traveling from place to place, as my father was a member of the United States Air Force. I was born in Lakenheath, England, and have since traveled and lived in places such as New Mexico, Alabama, Ohio, Florence, Oxford, and Paris, among others. I am accustomed to acclimating to new cultures and environments, and becoming quickly involved in the community in which I find myself.
