My name is Rayla Robinson and I am a high school teacher, and I LOVE teaching children. I have been in the school system for about six years. I am an athletic trainer/sports medicine, and I am CPR certified as well as an Instructor. I teach prep classes for allied health careers and I LOVE a fun learning environment. I enjoy seeing a child's development and motor skills grow. The reason I became a care giver because at the young age of 16 I was forced/willing to take care of a child that wasn't mine (a family member). I took care of him from the time he was 4 months old until he was 2yrs old. I loved that little boy like he was my own, I woke up in the middle of the nights to feed him and change his diaper. Every morning I woke up and feed him Read more and got him dressed to go to my grandmother's so that I could go to school. My mom would pick him up from my grandmother's house and bring him to practice and once practice was over he was in my arms and never left my side. Once home I feed and bathed him and entertained him until it was time to put him to sleep. I established a routine that worked for me so that I could do homework after he went to sleep. While in my care, I taught him his numbers, colors in English and Spanish, as well as his facial features (nose, mouth, eye, ear). I really enjoy taking care of infants, and toddlers as well as the older kids because I have a chance to teach a multiple levels. I hope that I will be able to care for your little one; because I have no doubt that you will be more than happy with how I take care of your little bundle of joy. I hope to hear from you soon, and wish you all the best in your search whether you choose me or not.
