My name is Erica. I am 26 years old and I love caring for children. My first experiences in child care was keeping my younger cousins on the weekends and summer breaks. In recent years I've worked for an early learing center working with babies and toddlers. Working at the ELC I would also babysit for some of the children in my classroom (weeknights and weekends). As of 2013 I became a nanny for a then 3 year old and 2 month old. They are now 5 years old (already in school) and 2 years old (will be starting school in August). Along the way I taught the younger child basic sign language to use until she was able to speak. At the age of two she now knows all the alphabet, animals, and their sounds, and how to complete puzzles (motor skills). We often go to storytime or field Read more trips to the park or zoo. She is also being potty trained. During the week I pick the oldest up from school and once a week I take him to swim. I wash the dishes, the childrens' clothing, cook, and other light house work. I also assist with doctors appointments and household errands. I love being a nanny because i enjoy watching the children grow into their own personalities and their reactions when they learn something new.
