My name is Brittany, the kids I care for call me Miss Britt. I've worked in childcare for a little over 6 years now and just love it! I have worked in a daycare/preschool and also worked in private childcare. I've worked with children as young as 6 weeks old to 13 year olds. I'm always up for a challenge, and I think everyday should be a learning experience for children. Toddlers are my favorite age group because they learn so quickly! We can practice letters, numbers, colors and even potty training and we can still have so much fun! For an entire summer I worked in a summer camp with 6-12 year olds. I loved every second of it and learned so much on how to connect with older kids and finding ways to make homework and work sheets and learning fun. I love being outside, if you have a backyard we could explore or maybe open to the idea of letting me take the kids to the park that's where we can have the most fun! I believe in creative play and using your imangiation and running all your energy out while the sun still shines. I'm a former volunteer for deaf and hard of hearing so am fluent in ASL and would also like to share what I've learned about deaf culture and also teach sign language to the kids and expose them to different languages and cultures of the world. American Sign Language is also great for infants who can't exactly express themselves with words! So I would like to teach baby sign with your premission.
