Hello! My name is Jamie and I am a student working towards a degree in child development and elementary education at the Moody Bible Institute. I am a God fearing woman and love the outdoors. I will be taking classes online for the next year+ and therefore have a completely flexible schedule. I recently moved to the Houston area after marrying my best friend thus following his career out West. Prior to becoming a Texan (still up for debate) I resided in Chicago, Il. where I nannied for a wonderful family with two girls, now ages 8 and 9. If it weren't for my transition into becoming a wife, I would have never left their beautiful family. They were actually the flower girls in our wedding! As an individual I pride myself on my integrity, outgoing creative spirit and cleanliness. I have strong communication skills and a heart for life and those in it. I enjoy my family immensely and would love the idea of welcoming another into my life. Children are my passion and I love experiencing life with, teaching, and learning from them on a daily basis. I enjoy giving joy, crafts, sports, the outdoors, creating, and experiencing. I don't have any tattoos or piercings and I am always open for new opportunities and highly motivated to learn. I have worked with children since I was 16. Although at the time I was just a babysitter I have grown to become experienced in lifeguarding, nannying, coaching, babysitting, tutoring, mentoring, mommy-and-me class instruction, organized childcare provision, pre-schooling, and live in/out nannying. I also have become a sub-par cook and laundress. I realize I may be a little spoiled making a profession out of my passion, but through my experience over the years it becomes abundantly clear with each position held and each opportunity given, there is nothing better suited for me than working with little ones. I love giving back and children are our future. It's a nice feeling knowing I can help contribute to its betterment and enjoy the process all at once. I am CPR and First Aid certified as well as a member of the INA (International Nannies Association.) I can provide excellent references and a comparable resume. I would love to meet you and yours!
