Growing up, my sister had three children. I was in a sense raised with them, while still being their older "auntie". I learned the ins and outs of potty training, cooking, playtime, and the importance of a schedule when nap and bedtime came. Once my nieces and nephew were old enough and attended school, I helped with math, English, and spelling regularly while delegating chores and fair playtime on computers/consoled when finished. When disruptions happened between siblings, we were always able to come to a mutual agreement. When my sister had her fourth child, I was a full-time caregiver for her, as well as occasionally running to get my nieces and nephew from school when needed. We regularly spent time together, napped together, played with her dolls, and read books. I prefer hands-on experience and entertainment than sitting in front of a television or tablet as most sitters do these Read more days. As an adult before moving to Texas, I cared for my grooming mentor's young toddler for nearly 6 months three to four days a week. It was during this time that I integrated my holistic belief of mind-body-soul to nurture to his adventurous spirit and curious nature. We had dance-offs to music in the living room, played with the dogs, I read his favorite books and taught him his colors and shapes. We had a daily routine of breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner if mom and dad were working late. Every day he enjoyed his bath times, dressing up when mom had to take him grocery shopping. Some days I would leave with the family to the beach or local child-friendly events and keep him company in the backseat while driving. In a sense I was more of a nanny to him than just a babysitter. My interest is to help other families learn a positive mindset to nurture their children in a way that shapes them into a dreamer who is capable of whatever they set their mind to. Life is too short to feel trapped within boundaries. We are meant to sing, to dance, to laugh, and to not take life as serious as to miss the beautiful moments in life. It would be my pleasure to be the perfect caregiver for your child(ren) as someone you can trust into your home and into your family, helping your child(ren) grow into a beautiful soul. :-)
