Hi! I have 3 years of paid experience caring for children and several years of volunteer work, babysitting, and caring for my nieces and nephews. I have been my nephews nanny for about a year, but he is going to daycare to gain social growth. I am a junior at Tarleton State University majoring in Child and Family studies with a minor in Psychology. My current responsibilities as nanny is to clean house, take care of the dogs, and take care of the baby. I like to keep things clean and orderly, I'm constantly cleaning as I go. The dogs I love to take care of, they're fun and hyper. Taking care of the baby consists of but is not limited to diaper changes, naps, making his food from organic vegetables, keeping his room tidy after he plays, taking him for walks and reading to him. Being a Child and Read more Family studies major along with Psychology, I know the importance of reading to children, different communication techniques and redirection. It's important to build a relationship based on gentle yet solid communication, respect, and fun for and with the child. I am CPR and first aid certified, certified substitute teacher and teachers aide. Along with SIDS training and other trainings.
