Meet Kimberly

  • Comfortable with pets
  • Has a car

Hi! My name is Kim and I have 12+ years of babysitting experience and was a nanny for 5 years. I am currently expecting a little one in April and am in the process of getting all the credentials together to open a home daycare in May. Therefore, I am looking for any babysitting or short-term nanny positions until April and/or would also love to meet families interested in the home daycare. I would really love the chance to care and get to know your family. I truly loving caring for babies and children. Everyone looks for the job where they wake up each day excited and ready to go to work and I feel that way every day I get to interact and shape a child's day. I love doing activities and events with the children. Depending on the child's age I usually always bring a bunch of Read more different things for us to do together (play-doh, coloring and reading books, games, toys, educational tools ect.). I have my own transportation with a clean driving record so if permitted would love to plan events outside the house like driving to a park, pool, museums, or other fun educational places. I was a student at the University of Texas at Dallas for 3 and 1/2 years where I was working on my chemistry degree while also obtaining my teaching certification. During this time one semester each I was a student teacher and taught at an Elementary, Middle, and High school. For the moment I have suspended my studies and were I to continue would take fully into account any family I should be working for at the moment. I have an 11 year old brother whom I raised since birth so I know what it takes to care for an infant to school-age child. I have been his main caretaker since birth (please feel free to ask and I would be more than willing to explain the situation). Being a "parent" instead of just a babysitter makes me much more confident caring for children of all ages and any unexpectedness that may occur.  I also grew up around a family of 7 children (the oldest was my best friend who lived next door) so I'm very comfortable with big families and watching multiple children at one time. I have been working in a pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician on and off 10 years so I know a fair amount about medications. Therefore, should your child need them I would not mind administering medications and know quite a bit about them. Please feel free to ask me any questions . Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile! Kim

Kim did a great job with my two year old son. It was very short notice and I felt very comfortable leaving him with her over night. She was very flexible and willing to work with me and my son came home in a great mood! I'd recommend her to anyone!

My girls 3 and 4 LOVE Kim! She brought toys along with her and really connected with them. She's passionate about kids and it really shows. I was in a bind recently and needed a sitter and while Kim couldn't help us she reccommened a friend whom she trusted. She gave her friend some activities that she ususally brings along and called and checked in with her friend while she was with our girls. She went way above and beyond.

Kimberly has come out to our house twice now and we will definitely be asking her back. She is great with the kids and they were really excited to have her back a 2nd time. Our daughter is 18 months and son is almost 8 and she brought toys/activities for both of them which they loved.

Kimberly has watched our 1 year old twice now and has done a wonderful job both times. Kimberly is very professional and we look forward to using her in the future.

I've only worked with Kimberly once so far, but it was a great experience. My son liked her immediately and she was very engaging as well.
