I have been a nanny for 2 years now with the same wonderful family. I have worked at a children's summer camp as well for the past two years, and prior to that, I volunteered for 7 years in my church's children's nursery. I have work with children's of all ages, infants to teenagers. I absolutely love working with children! I got into the caregiving business because I knew that I needed a flexible but also reliable job in high school, and now in college, I am still doing it. I knew I was good with children, and being a nanny sounded like the perfect opportunity for me. Being a nanny has taught me so much about not only children, but about myself. Children are truly some of the greatest teachers in my opinion. I have learned how to communicate with children better, I've learned my weaknesses and strengths, I've Read more learned the art of patience, and so much more. It has been the best thing I've ever done, and I hope to continue this line of work for many more years!
