For many years I have loved working with children. I have worked at alphabest, an after school program for elementary aged children. This job required me to spend about 4 hours each day teaching and hanging out with a group of kids after school. I created lesson plans, activities and games to help entertain them, while also making sure they are enjoying their time. Secondly, I have recently traveled to Costa Rica for a childcare volunteer program for one month. There I would work Monday-Friday in an underdeveloped school where children came from domestic abuse homes, drug abuse or poverty. It was an eye opening experience. I learned Spanish, developed a better understanding of children, and had an everlasting experience that is going to last a life time. As for more experience, I have been baby sitting since I was about 16 ( I am now 21) for friends, family.
