I am Deme R. and I live in Orange. I currently teach 1st grade in Louisiana, but will be out for the summer on May 25th. I am seeking a summer job, doing what I love, which is working with kids. I'm beyond excited for the opportunity to introduce basic skills to young kids and help strengthen skills of older kids. I have 2 small dogs myself, so I don't mind pets in the home. I just renewed my medical certification through my job, so I know CPR and basic first aid. Here's a little more about me. I am a Cum Laude graduate from McNeese State University, with a Bacherlor's degree in Elementary Education. I've taught and tutored 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade over the past 3 years, so I've become very familiar with 6-8 year old childrens' academic, behavior, and social habits. I've also had the heart touching Read more experience of working in a special education classroom. While in college, I worked at a daycare. I was a teacher assistant for all of the age groups. I cared for babies as young as 6 months, worked on potty training with 2-5 year olds, and even got a chance to be cool with the after schoolers! While working at the daycare, I spent every morning (10:00-2:00) in the "Tiny Twos" room. I've also had the opportunity to work with teenagers, since I was selected to be a camp counselor at a McNeese Summer Camp 2 years. I've learned great responsibility working with children! I cherish the relationships and love I've gained over the years and look forward to more!
