Hi! My name is Kali and I am 18 with a passion for kids! I have been a nanny for the past two years to a wonderful family with kids ages 5-10. Also, I have babysat for many families for date nights/etc along the past 3+ years for all age groups including children with special needs. Among request, I can provide many positive references and I assure you I will provide nothing but amazing care for your little ones. Also, I am comfortable with animals, doing basic household chores, have my own transportation, and do not smoke.

I'm writing this review to help a future family make the most informed decision when hiring Kali. Kali worked for us Jan 2016-March 13, 2016, working part-time (9am-2pm) on Mondays through Fridays. POSITIVE THINGS: She's friendly, smart, kind, and patient. My toddler adored her. She did light housework (laundry, dishes, organizing the baby rooms). She has a bright personality that my whole family appreciated. Sometimes she would stay a little later if I needed her to. She is a fast learner and adapts well. CHALLENGES: She canceled on us at the last-minute 3 different times using reasons that didn't add up or seemed a little off to me. The first time she texted me the night before and said she had a stomach bug. She showed up to work the morning after assuring me that she was completely recovered and fine, no fever, not contagious with anything. The 2nd time she canceled 1 day before saying that her professor offered to drop her lowest grade if she went on a class field trip to the museum. The 3rd time she texted me the night before saying that she got into a car accident ("t-boned"), that her brother got a bone fracture but she was totally fine, once again emphasizing how she was not at all hurt. She no-showed for 2 days straight, during which time she has been active online (via sittercity and care websites). I texted her and was notified that msg was opened and read. Even though she had access to a computer and her phone, she didn't return our text or phone messages. We have no choice but to conclude that after no-showing and not contacting us, she resigned without notice despite signing a contract with us. My intuition says that I cannot trust her. When I interviewed Kali, she gave me great references. Her prior families loved her. Kali didn't have experience caring for a child consistently every day for long term, but I hired her anyway. Our family has lost income due to Kali no-showing.
