Hello! I guess I'll start with telling you about my babies. I am the proud Momma of two little boys; 11 months and 2 years. I have been incredibly blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom since my oldest was born. Previously working in the daycare environment as well as being a live in nanny ( ages 2 and 4) helped me to realize, as well as prepare me for my own, my passion for kidos. While working in the daycare, I cared for a classroom of 30 4-year-olds along side my co-teacher. In an environment where you often find teachers favoring the kids that mind and listen well, I found my heart gravitating toward the ones that needed a little more attention throughout the day. Children are so impressionable and I truly believe react how they are treat (most of the time). I showed them Read more love and attention and they began to improve and I was hooked on seeing their excitement and belief in themselves skyrocket. While being a live-in nanny, I experienced life day in and day out with two toddlers. We experienced getting off bottles, tossing the passie, potty training, big boy/girl bed transitions and many other BIG changes that are experienced in the first 4 years. As well as all the normal things, I helped them with the transition of divorce and the decrease of time with mom. That experience helped give me a glimpse into what motherhood would look like for me. It showed me how full my heart is when caring for little ones. When it comes to caring for little ones... I believe in independence, manners, kindness, education, outside adventures, spilled milk, home cooked meals with the occasional chicken nuggets (nobody's perfect), falling and getting back up, dance parties, patience, persistence and snuggles. I am a Christian and choose to incorporate a Christian base day to day life. I work with motor skills as well as education from ABC's to 123's. In my heart, I truly believe if you choose to take the time to teach kidos, they will learn as well as practicing what you preach. I'm choosing to put myself out there to care for kiddos simple because I am a mom, I know how it feels to have no choice but to trust your most valuable babies with someone that's not you all day. The relief of knowing that when they are with me they are being loved, watched over and your wishes are being respected and followed.
