Hi! My name is Monica and I'm currently enrolled at Penn Foster College for my Associate's in Early Childhood Education. I have 10 years of experience working with children ages 2-9 years. I first got started watching children at the age of 16 when I was a teacher's aid at pipe creek Christian school . I helped run the Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms, which consisted of about 14 students, for four years. I was also a teacher's aid in the special needs classroom working with one autistic boy and 3 students who had down syndrome. As the teacher's aid I worked as a mentor to students - motivating them, encouraging interaction in the classroom with storytelling, and teaching them reading, writing, and math skills.
