Hello, my name is Janice Klump. In addition to having completed my bachelor's degree and pre-service training in Early Childhood education, I have several years experience as a caregiver. I am 28, and have been working with children since I was a teenager. I have worked with children ages infant to 6 in the church nursery. I was a camp counselor and support staff for a few summers during my teenage years. In my twenties, I was a nanny for an infant. Later, I took a nanny job for another infant and a small child. In the summer of 2013, I did in-home care for an non-verbal autistic child. Since then, I have babysat several children as favors for friends and family, including my 7 year old niece and 5 year old nephew. I also have over 2 years experience working for the Cy-Fair and Klein school districts. In 2015, Read more I quit work to be a full- time student and stay-at-home wife. I also spent time leading music at a local retirement home, and have recently become involved in playing guitar and singing for the kids Sunday school class at my church. I am in process of securing a full-time teaching job beginning in the fall, and am seeking a short-term summer job as a caregiver or housekeeper. If mutually beneficial, I am open to continued employment as a caretaker/housekeeper part-time once the school year begins.
