I've taught elementary school and composition to college freshmen and tutored children of all ages. I've also raised two children of my own -- twins -- one of them a special needs child. I did a lot of babysitting in my teenage years and worked as an in-home caregiver to the disabled and elderly as a young adult. I've also worked in an assisted living retirement home. I believe children are a gift from God and need a lot of support and encouragement to grow into happy, healthy adults. It's very satisfying to make a difference in the life of a child whether as a caregiver, teacher or parent.
