Hello! I am interested in working as a distance learning teacher/cheerleader/ship captain/snack connoisseur. I am open to both learning pods and private families. With the school year fast approaching, I would guess that education and well-being are on many families' minds (it has certainly been on mine.) I've had years of experience with young humans - from summer camp to swim lessons - and feel capable of supporting families through distance learning and beyond. If things were business as usual, I would have spent my second summer working as a "Master of Fun & Games" at Camp Augusta, a wonderful program known for its creative program and focus on communication/empathy. With this being a brave new territory, I have little attachment to specific arrangements, ages, hours, or even group size. I would love to hear about what your needs are and what we might be able to swing. A bit Read more about me and my experience! - I have over six years in summer camps working as a counselor, director, and program creator. I LOVE summer camps and am a huge proponent of what they offer to kids. - I have nannied for two lovely families, one in Utah and one in the LA area. The kids were all around middle-school age. Because the kids were a little older, I spent a lot of time shuffling them through their various routines - homework, piano, dinner, etc. I feel grateful to have worked for both families. - I have spent many years working as a swim instructor. This was my first "real job" in high school and I would pop back into the swim school when I was home for college breaks to pick up shifts. If anything is a testament to how much a few years of maturity and experience can change the way you work with children, this experience was. - I've also done regular ol' babysitting, some after-school work, and have held a few non-kid jobs. Please let me know if you have any questions at all! I would love to chat.
