Right off the bat, I've grown up in a family of 5 children, me being in the middle. My parents were off working quite a bit, so that put me in a position of needing to take care of my younger two sisters. With that I've had to learn to prepare food, be responsible for them and everything else that comes with their daily care. I held several positions in my little hometown of Lewiston (in Utah on the Idaho border -- 30 minutes North of Logan) as a babysitter when I was growing up. At the age of 19 I decided I wanted try the Au Pair thing. So, I found a nice Italian family, I organized myself and I moved to Italy for 5 months. They had two young girls; a baby about one year and a 4 year old. At 23 I decided once again to be Read more an Au Pair, but this time in Egypt. This was a wonderful Egyptian family with twins, a boy and girl at 9 years old. I spent five months with them. Finally most recently, I had a cousin that went to Ireland for three and a half months. The French family she lived with there needed someone, so she suggested me. I left for Ireland at the beginning of this year in January, spent three months there and have just recently returned about three weeks ago. I've gained so much love, insight and respect for all three of these different families and cultures. I seriously miss these kids like dear friends, as if they were my own siblings. I still keep regular contact with the French boy and the Egyptian kids and I've been blessed with the opportunity to visit the Egyptians once more after my stay. Along the way I've had the pleasure of learning pieces of Italian, reading and writing in Egyptian Arabic and just a bit of French. Aside from all this I am a certified Reiki Master/Teacher in both Usui and Karuna; an effective method of Japanese energy healing.
