Hello families! My name is Jennifer and I am currently opening my home to two children in need of quality child care (at an affordable rate for the families). I have been a professional, full time nanny for the past 7 years. I have had two long term families and several babysitting/summer gigs, which means a long list of glowing references! This year I am offering my full time, full service nanny expertise to TWO families so that I can provide more affordable rates and work from the comfort of my own home. Here is what a normal day could be: Pick up or Drop Off Breakfast (healthy, organic-e.g. Egg, toast and grapes) Morning Activity Walk to the park Lunch (Protein, carb, & fruit or vegetable) Nap Story Time Snack (e.g.Yogurt, smoothie, or cheese & crackers) Walk Around Shirlington Village Toy Time! Craft/Paint ETC.... Pick Up or Drop Off Here Read more are a few examples of the activities I do with toddlers: • Arts and crafts : seasonal snowmen, bunnies, rainbows (for those learning colors), etc. I like the crafts to have a lesson attached so I don't just mean coloring to keep busy! • Yoga; Gaim has a great kids ABC yoga DVD that is both a physical and educational activity. • Trips: I love the zoo, DC Museums, big bus tours, tea rooms, parks, pools, etc. These will always be discussed and approved by parents first;) • Lesson Plans! I usually let the kids tell me what they wanted to learn about. If they said Paris, we did an Eiffel Tower made of marshmallows, held a fashion show and ate duck leg confit & crème brulee at a French bistro nearby. I've done life cycles, where we raised a caterpillar and saw it become a butterfly and we've planted bean plants! There are a thousand amazing and wonderful things to learn about and I enjoy the kids helping me pick subjects. About Me: Advanced Childcare Training W/Pediatric First Aid CPR &AED Certified Clean Background Check Reliable Transportation Clean Driving Record 6+ Years Experience & Glowing References Experience with multiples, ADHD, Asburgers, and Infants The care will take place in Shirlington Village (Arlington). Hours of operation are 7AM to 5PM with flexibility. The cost of childcare (which includes all craft supplies and meals) is $11 per hour. If I am picking the tiny one up, depending upon how far away you are, the cost would be $12 per hour.
