I chose to become a nanny because it's very rewarding job, to see the children growing up, learning everything that you're teaching them, to have them come up to you give you a hug, and tell you that they love you, to develop a close relationship with them and the parents, that will hopefully last a lifetime, and know that you contributed to raising that child as (hopefully!) a decent member of society. To have the freedom to plan my day how I want, and do something with the children that THEY love...to spend my summer afternoons at the outside swimming pool teaching the kids how to swim, playing sports, going to the library to read the kids a childeren's books. To know you have done a job well.

Aida was our daughter's full-time nanny from December to April. She would still be her caregiver had we not moved out of state. From the early challenges of transitioning from mom to new person, Aida was constantly patient, kind, loving and helpful. She is warm and funny and the baby loves her. She offers suggestions when you ask, guidance when you need it, and wonderful care for the children she watches. Aida and the baby would read, play, go for walks, and participate in neighborhood activities (play group, library, etc), as Aida's judgment determined the weather and baby's mood would allow. My partner works from home and had the benefit of seeing Aida in action. She communicates with the baby constantly, pointing things out, singing her songs, etc. Our daughter was always amused and entertained by Aida and from the way her face would light up when she arrived, I have no doubt she was very happy in Aida's capable hands. I'm happy to provide any more specific details for anyone considering Aida as a caregiver. I can recommend her unreservedly and if I could have gotten her to move with us, I would have. :)
