For a short while I worked as an optician, in my profession, I observed that not many practicianers or technicians understood how to fit young children who have fidgety little bodies, devoping ears and noses, and emergent language skills with eyeglasses, so I wanted to study pediatric optometry. Now I'm in school studying Early Childhood Development & Education at NOVA, in May I'll earn a certificate, while continuing to study microbiology & pre-med. I've always been caring and empthetic but during this past year, I've devoted more time to learn and provide care to babies and young children up to 5-yrs. old. This is a very important time for them to grow and become curious and learn about themselves and our world around us. My experience includes being a student observer, a teaching assistant, and working with growing families in Arlington, VA.
